Lujan de Cuyo is the epicenter of Argentine Malbec and the most prestigious wine region in Mendoza. In 1989 it was recognized as the first Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC) in South America (formalized by resolution in 1991), a milestone that certified the exceptional quality of its wines. Just 30 minutes from downtown Mendoza, Lujan de Cuyo offers the highest concentration of accessible premium wineries in the entire province.
