By Air
Cordoba's Ingeniero Ambrosio Taravella Airport (IATA: COR), locally known as Pajas Blancas, is the busiest airport in Argentina outside Buenos Aires. It receives domestic flights from Buenos Aires (both Aeroparque and Ezeiza), Mendoza, Bariloche, Rosario, Salta, Tucuman and Iguazu. Airlines operating include Aerolineas Argentinas (most frequent), Flybondi (low cost) and JetSMART (low cost).
Flights from Buenos Aires take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, with up to 10 daily frequencies between the three airlines. Prices range from ARS 30,000 one-way with Flybondi (booked in advance) to ARS 80,000 with Aerolineas in peak season. Book as early as possible for the best fares.
For international travelers, the most common route is to fly into Buenos Aires Ezeiza (EZE) and connect to Cordoba via a domestic flight. If arriving at Ezeiza and connecting from Aeroparque (AEP), allow at least 4 hours for the transfer between airports. Some international flights from Sao Paulo, Santiago and Panama arrive directly at COR.
By Bus
Argentina has an excellent long-distance bus network and Cordoba's Terminal de Omnibus is conveniently located in the city center. From Buenos Aires (Retiro terminal), the journey takes 9-10 hours with companies including Chevallier, General Urquiza and Andesmar. Service levels include semi-cama (ARS 30,000-40,000), cama (ARS 40,000-50,000) and cama suite (ARS 50,000-55,000) with dinner, breakfast, personal screen and fully reclining seats. The cama suite is genuinely comfortable for overnight travel.
By Car
From Buenos Aires, the Cordoba-Rosario highway (National Route 9) offers 700 km of well-maintained road that takes approximately 7 hours. From Mendoza, National Route 7 connects both cities in 8 hours (580 km). Having your own or rented car is especially valuable for exploring the sierras, where public transport is limited outside the main towns. Rental cars are available at the airport and city center from USD 30-50/day.
