Ten days is the perfect amount of time to cover the entire Argentine Northwest without rushing. This itinerary includes absolutely everything: Salta city, San Lorenzo cloud forest, the full Quebrada de Humahuaca including Hornocal (the Hill of 14 Colors at 4,350m — the highest point on the circuit), the Salinas Grandes salt flats, the legendary Train to the Clouds, Iruya (the most remote village in the NOA), Cachi via the Cuesta del Obispo, the legendary Route 40 through the Quebrada de las Flechas, and Cafayate with its high-altitude Torrontes wineries.
